The incineration of medical waste, hospital waste and Waste from Healthcare Activities Carrying Infectious Risk (DASRI) is based on a controlled combustion process in the presence of a certain amount of oxygen. This exothermic redox reaction reaches temperatures of up to 1200°C, achieving an impressive efficiency of 97%, and ensuring optimum thermal and moisture exchange. Made of 8 mm thick steel and lined with refractory concrete and bricks, these incinerators provide exceptional thermal insulation and durability. The primary chamber burns the waste to ashes, while the secondary chamber, which maintains a two-second holding time, burns the resulting fumes. The emissions are processed through a complex system that starts with initial cooling by means of motorized solenoids, after which the gases are further cooled and passed through the wet scrubber, where they are treated with reactive solutions such as caustic soda, lime and urea. This system effectively neutralizes acidic and gaseous pollutants, supported by an automatic pH regulation system. The incinerators are manufactured with high-quality materials to be highly efficient, controllable and long-lasting, and comply with strict environmental standards. The E mission purification station consists of five stages: pre-gas cooling, solid particle separation, additional gas cooling, ultra-fine particle filtration and neutralization of acidic and gaseous components, minimizing environmental impacts.
