Facade Master 1250 Single Mast Facade Working Platform

The Facade Master (column-mounted working platform) is an ideal machine for providing an elevator-equipped workspace on building facades. It can carry up to 5 workers and a load of 3670 kg, extending up to 30 meters in length along the facade, as outlined in tables 7 and 8 of the guide.

The working principle of this system involves electric motor-powered scaffolding mounted on steel masts anchored to the facade with anchoring arms. These modular systems can extend up to 10.5 meters in width with a single mast and up to 30 meters with a double mast. Using standard materials, these platforms can reach heights of up to 150 meters.

The core of the elevator system is based on small gears turning on the gear wheel shaft. This rotation is produced by two identical, shared electric motor groups. Each motor group includes a motor, an electronic brake, a gear reducer group, and an emergency central brake system. These motor groups (referred to as "motors") are mounted onto a metallic structure called the chassis. The chassis supports the mast, holds all moving parts of the machine, and transfers all power to the mast. Additionally, the machine features a rail adjustment to prevent it from deviating from its path and a high-security detector, such as an access door to the platform.

Apart from the chassis, other mechanical components, connected by screws, may be linked to the platform's various sections as required, up to the maximum forecast in the guide. Each section of the platform consists of a metallic window frame, perforated plate flooring, extension systems, railings, and other arrangements.

The entire set is held vertically in place due to the movement of small gears on the gear wheel shaft. This assembly is fixed to a column supporting the facade, welded into place. The column is a series of interconnected sections, arranged up to a height of 150 meters. Besides supporting the platform, the column also acts as a guide. Once the column is reinforced with the platform and secured to the ground, it ensures stability until the final collapse phase. The machine also contains an electronic system that supports various movements, including a safety system.
