Wet Magnetic Drum Separator

Wet magnetic drum separators are utilized in micronized iron ore beneficiation processes. They are preferred for ore enrichment in applications where liquid fluidity dominates the process. Material is fed from the feeder onto the drum separator, where magnetically sensitive material adheres to the drum surface under the influence of its magnetic field. Along the rotational direction of the drum, magnetic polarization separates magnetic minerals from the system. Non-magnetic materials pass through the drum without being captured and are discharged from the waste outlet of the separator.

At the end of the system, magnetic materials are extracted from the desired product flow, enhancing product purity and plant productivity. This ensures the concentration quality is maintained during ore enrichment and prevents potential losses. Wet magnetic drum separators are particularly effective in reclaiming magnetite used as a heavy medium in coal mining operations.
