Steel Wire Rope
Wire rope is made of steel and is one of the main components used in hoists. Steel wire ropes, which have a wide range of uses, are made from high strength steel wires (usually 1600 - 1800 N/mm2).
Steel wire ropes used as lifting and pulling elements in cranes have wire diameters ranging from 0.2 to 2.4 mm. The ropes are made up of strands formed by helically winding single or multiple wires, which are then wound around a core in a helical manner, consisting of a core, wire, and strands.
