Automatic self-cleaning overband magnetic separators are preferred in industrial applications where the removal of unwanted ferrous metals from conveyor belts is required. These separators are positioned either perpendicular or parallel to the conveyor belt on the same plane in continuous production conveyor lines. As the conveyor belt moves, the magnetic separator, which is equipped with its own belt, creates a magnetic field over the relevant area. Ferrous metals attracted to this magnetic field are discharged at the end of the magnetic zone into the desired section.

Overband natural magnetic separators are composed of neodymium and ferrite magnetic blocks, depending on the application field.
