Winch Drum
Rope drums are positioned on a fixed axis. It is important for the drum wall to be thick against the stresses that occur in the drum during lifting. The stresses referred to are the torsion that occurs during rotation, the bending caused by the tension of the emptied rope, and the bending caused by the narrowing of the drum.
The flanges mounted on both sides of the rope drums prevent the rope from slipping out of the drum. The rope guide is a part that acts as a nut in the drum grooves for correctly winding the steel ropes on the drum. The spring inside the rope guide compresses and relaxes the rope wound around the drum.
